"Konstantin Tsiolkovsky (1857-1935), outstanding Russian self-taught scientist, inventor and engineer. 'The Earth is the cradle of humanity, but who spends all their life in a cradle?' he said and evolved principles for calculating rocket propulsion and developed a design of the first cosmic rocket to study inter-planetary space. Tsiolkovsky is considered the father of human space flight and the first man to conceive the space elevator."
